History: Suzumi Kichida is a Student of Iaido (Also known as Iaijutsu, a blade style associated with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard.), who always carries around a Katana. She often tries not to get involved with the matters of others that argue, but will step in if need be.

Shortly after she was born, Suzumi's father disapeared. After the disapearance of her father, her mother,Yoko Kichida, was depressed to the point of suicidal tendencies. But Yoko continued to raise her newborn little girl and her 3 year old son. Everyday never faultering, the only thing keeping her going was the thought of them being happy. The years passed and time went on, she seemed happy. For five years she lived on, without a worry, until she began to get visits from a man every few days. Everyday Takeo noticed his mothers extreme mental distress, but was unsure what it was about. Whenever he aproached her about her worries, she just pushed him off and said she was fine. Months passed with consistent visits from this man, each one getting more violent. Yoko could often be seen with bruises and cuts, but never admited to abuse. But on the last visit, Suzumi heard her mother yelling at the man, and decided to hide in her room before things got out of hand. Then, all was quiet.. there was no yelling, no screaming.. quiet enough to hear a pin drop... Then Suzumi heard crackling outside her door. Curiously she opened it only to greeted by wisps of fire and ash...

Trapped by burning rubble, Suzumi saw the figure of a man leaving through the entrance of their household. It's no wonder she felt as helpless as she did, and often believes her father was the figure she saw that day. From that day onward, she was taken care of by her brother, Takeo. He is very over protective of Suzumi, in the same way she is protective of him. But, were Suzumi blames their father for their mothers death, Takeo blamed himself... Takeo wasn't home at the time, he was with some of the other children, when he saw smoke pluming from the direction of the household, he ran as fast as he could bumping into a man walking the other direction, before making it into the household. As he entered the burning building he found his sister unconscious due to smoke inhalation and dragged her out of the building just before it collapsed, with his mother still inside... And from that day onward Suzumi, age 6, and Takeo, age 9, were alone... As the years passed, Suzumi has come to terms with her mothers death, unlike her brother, but she never forgets that her father is to blame for that day (At least in her mind). It was because of that, that she began learning Iaido in hopes of calming her hardened spirit and finding that man.

In her younger life, she was seen as a loner and a troublemaker, as she developed an issue with authority. She never had many friends, and even the friends she had she never trusted. She always had an issue getting close to someone, as if she would never see them again. It took her a while to get to where she is today, the talkative yet sometimes bashful, Suzumi everyone knows. She trusts everyone, until she has a reason not to. The only thing that hasn't changed was her problem with authority. She has made many friends in her later years and plans to make many more. Her only hope is that it will be someone that can take her off of Kuat and off into the galaxy. But until then, she goes through her days training in Iaido, and working for Kuat Leisure, so if she needs to, she may be able to buy a ship to leave herself.
